Famous Criminals from the Great Depression

Have you ever heard of Al Capone? Bonnie and Clyde? Or even John Dillenger? All of those people are famous for there crimes committed during the Great Depression. So, listen up because are some facts about each of them.

Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde were notorious criminals because they stole an automobile. They got charged for many robberies. Bonnie and Clyde met in Texas in January 1930. Bonnie is only 19 and has been married and Clyde is 21 and not married. Clyde was arrested for burglary. He was also sent to jail for that. When Clyde was in jail he broke out using a gun that Bonnie had smuggled from another person. There was a shoot out, Buck was fatally wounded, and Blanche captured. Buck was Bonnies brother and Blanche was Bucks wife. Bonnie and Clyde were killed in 1934. Bonnie and Clyde committed 14 crimes, robberies, and burglars.

Al Capone

Al Capone was born in Brookeland NY January 17, 1899 to poor Italian Immigrants. He was one of the most famous and powerful gangsters in the United States. Al Capone sold liquor and he gambled. He did not really attend the valentines the massacre, which was the killing of the Bugs Moran gang. He was in Prison for doing that. Al Capone had a custom built Cadelliac. His gang dressed as police and killed visual gang. Al Capone died because of a stroke and pneumonia.

John Dillinger

John Dillinger was the leader of many bank robberies. Soon though he went to jail when he was caught. But jail trained him to be an even better criminal. He soon escaped from jail with only a wooden pistol and a car. After that he was in many gun battles. He was sent to a theater
where he was set up by a good friend to be killed. His friend dressed in a red dress and when the FBI saw her and John Dillenger then they shot him to death.
